We are planning to do the ICW south in our 36-foot sailboat. What do you consider to be a decent average to use in figuring daily destinations?

Most 36-foot boats we've met tend to travel 30 miles on a medium light day, and 50 miles on a heavy day. When we're pushed for time, we rise at the crack of dawn, and leave with first light. This often enables you to get into a good anchorage earlier. If you're not pressed for time, slow down and enjoy the journey. It's wonderful!
