Macgregor 26

Do you own or have owned a Macgregor 26? would like to hear about your experiences sailing from eastern florida to the bahamas.

I have a 1988 mac 26D.

I live in ft laud, and sail mostly in miami/keys.

while you could do bahamas, it would be pushing it on several levels.

-go to macgregor-boats.com and look for conch crusers. they are going to bimini in summer.

-they went 2 yrs ago, but motored most of way.

imho MAC''s are costal, dont have storage needed for extended crusing, but otherwise fine.

it would be similar to sailing a catalina 22. or similar day sailer.
