Does anyone have any up to date information on the shoaling situation on the ICW between Beaufort and Charleston ? My boat draws 5 1/2 feet and I''ve heard all sorts of conflicting information as to if I can get through or not.

Motored that route this past June in my Cat. She doesn''t draw as much as you but I saw nor heard of anyone with any major difficulties. Even I have been aground but it due to my negligence, reaching for a cold one or paying too much attention to what my wife was saying.Talk to the locals for updates but you should be fine.
