www.sea-tech.com info?

Hello,
has anyone ever bought a weather fax package from

http://www.sea-tech.com/seatech_wfx.htm

This did not work for us out in the Atlantic and im wondering if it’s just a package for coastal cruising?

Thanks for any help
Jeff

having used this software for many years- it can work very well in harbor on the right days in the right climate conditions- it can also fail miserably- ionospheric conditions are ususally at fault- how good is your ssb antenna- the wires should be OFF the back staff with plastic stand-offs... and after a lot of frustration we went with an iridium, weather net system- that works with a good antenna all the the time-

We recieved a package
-weatherfax 2000 softwear
-icom1000 reciever only, with japanes writing all over the box
-and a metz antenna, I was told after the fact in luperon DR by a fello cruiser this was a glorified vhf antenna, we could not get anything on the SSB reciever, I think we were taken for a ride by sea-tech
