It''s official

Well folks, it''s official, yours truly has stepped off the treadmill… ok; I was given a gentle push!

As of 1/1/2006 I''m no longer gainfully employed and can focus my energies where they belong... planning our "casting off" cruise!

It’s been a while, but for those of you that remember, we headed off to Maine last August as part of our “training”… never quite made it (Rocinante is wintering in East Dennis, MA), but we’ll pick up the trip this July. The plan is to head north in July, finally make Penobscot Bay… spend a month or so there, then head south along the ICW with the intent of spending Christmas in the Keys. Head back north for ’07 hurricane season, the Caribbean for winter 07’ then head south for the 08’ hurricane season, then ???

Any and all advice is appreciated (especially for the trip down to the Keys):

Sample itineraries; places to visit; places to avoid; anchorages; etc., etc., etc.
