Hi folks, I dont see much reference to motorsailers around these blogs, am interested in Fishers in the 30 to 45 range if any has an opinion would appreciate hearing,also any other ideas about types of motorsailers, fast is not my style just steady and secure.

Fischers have a reputations for very high quality. Motorsailors in general have the reputation to be rather slow under sail and not at all good in light wind. Depending on where you are going to cruise it may not matter. Most people I know who cruise any distance on L Mich motor a lot of the time anyways.

I have a deep draft Nauticat 33, with modified fin keel and skeg hung rudder. Compared to Irwin 38s, IP 44s and Catalina 31s, 34s & 36's I have sailed on, I am very satisfied with the sailing abilities of my boat. She can do hull speed under sail only and motorsail at 9 knots with her turbo 90 hp Lehman.

thanks for your replys guys,just a quick note before I run out the door and drive a little over an hour to work another day for "THE MAN" for 10 hours... blah blah I know.
My interest in the motorsailers is headroom and comfort,I hope not to be in any hurry once I get to this point,this summer I hope to do a little sailing on Lake Champlain,and the Maine coast.

True blue, I have seen your yacht in the photo gallery and she is
"ABSOLUTLY BEAUTIFUL" Has great reviews,and is just what I have pictured in this fat lil head of mine...also have been looking at the Cheoy Lee that Irwin has recommended also a great boat,thank you both.
I will be attending the Maine boat builders show next month as I have for the last several years and although more power orientated always very knowledgeable people to talk to there !
