Prescriptions while cruising

OK all you cruisers out there. I know my blood pressure will go down once I take delivery of out boat in Sept of 2003. Question How do you get prescriptions refilled while crusiing?? Anyone help us out?

Can''t you have prescriptions filled by your home doc and have them shipped to future ports of call?
I''m a physician and would be happy to assist if you don''t have a provider.

I had trouble in the USVI with drug stores. They would not accept "out of state" prescriptions even though my Dr. had filled out several in advance for me. They were for classII meds (narcotic pain meds). I had to go to a local dr, who had to get my charts sent down and then they wrote me a 1 month supply and I had to go back again for another "exam" $150 each visit!
I suggest you get them all before you leave or have someone at home take pre filled out rx''s to a drug store and mail them to you.
