Parrothead Update, Heading Out of Puget Sound

Well the day finally came and we headed out from Gig Harbor yesterday about the newly renamed S/V Parrothead. Motored up to PT Townsend yesterday, took on 400 gallons of fuel and left this morning at 6:30 to a beautiful sunrise and dead calm seas. Now underway heading 300 out the Straight of Juan de Fuca passing Pt Angeles for Neaha Bay. If the weather cooperates we will keep going out to open ocean and head to Newport Oregon by tomorrow afternoon. Will have update on my website www.viescape.com and try and send pictures from the Sat phone.

Captain David
S/V Parrothead

I cant get the picture to insert so go to http://www.caribbeanflightcenter.com/Parrothead/ if you want to see the picture.

I envy you. We just bought our boat for the dream in Port Townsend and will spend the next couple years getting ourselves and the boat ready for our exit strategy. Got to get the last kid started in college and the cruising kitty built enough so we won't have to come back before 3 years if we don't want to. We are still deciding on going South to Mexico then through the canal or to truck to the east coast and leave from NC south.
