Volvo 2001 Water Heater

I have a Volvo 2001 with raw water cooling (no heat exchanger) has anyone attempted to modify the cooling system so that you can hook up a heat exchange water heater? Any Assistance would be appreciated. Thank You.

Just investigated doing the same thing on my Vindo 45. Along with the boat yard decided it was too expensive and impratical. Guess it is solar heated showers until next season and I will add a instant on LP heater (available with a CE mark approval in the UK). Good luck.
