Glades boatyard to Marathon Key in Jan 06

Hi,

I'm just wondering if anyone out there is making the same trip. This will be our first time in our 30' Center Cockpit S-2 heading across the Okachobee (sp) out to Ft. Lauderdale and down the ICW to Marathon.

If anyone has done this trip, I'd love to have more info on it...we have a 15hp Westerbeke that has been decent to us but ya never know...

I'm really just looking to either travel with others making the similar journey to learn the area from someone who's done it before or just be in a group for the purpose of safety in numbers.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!
