interactive cruising guide

Hi Sailors,

maybe it is interesting for you: the international version of SkipperGuide, a interactive, online cruising guide is available.
It is a cruising guide based on the wikipedia-technology. Everybody can contribute and profit from other contributions.

This site is free, open for everyone, and non-commercial. The contributions are published under the Free Documentation License.

If you think, it's a good idea and if you have fun with it, you are welcome to support this project however you like (by contributions, corrections or constructive discussions). I've just startet to translate some articles from the german counterpart.

Of course I'm very interested in your opinion and your feedback about this site.

The URL is http://www.skipperguide.com

cU,

Peter

update

Hi,

in the meantime, some other new articles started, which will give an idea about the direction of this project:

Australia and Tasmania, some articles about the United States, like Chesapeake Bay, and some marinas of the Canary Islands that I've visited during my last sailing trip.

Everyone is invited to join this project from beginning and to help to build up this open source cruising guide.

Cheers,

Peter

Interactive cruising guide

Peter,
It looks as though you've just started the cruising guide, but I think it's a good idea. Hopefully it will grow and develop into quite a useful guide. Thanks for the info.

Thanks Pete,
Yes, I'm running the platform, and I've also added some of the content. But because it is public domain and the content is contributed by various users, my person is not too important here.

However, I'm happy about every contribution and every new user at SkipperGuide; it is much more fun to work on this project in a bigger community.

Cheers, Peter
