Summer Cruise

Sailortjk1:
Thanks for asking. The cruise was great! I stretched it out to just short of three months. I visited Mac I of course, Hessel, MI and the Les Chennaux Islands at the top Huron. From there entered Canada's N. Channel and did itfor 3 weeks. Truly a worldclass area. Entered Georgian Bay via the small boat channel which was very challenging and very beautiful. From there it was the Trent Severn, across L Ontario to Olcott (near Wilson) where Trav'ler presently sits on the hard for the winter. 1300 miles and some 40 ports/anchoragesund under the keel.
The Trent I would have done differently
. My crew had time restraints so we plowed through in 8 days. I would have liked 2 weeks in order to enjoy more of the towns along the way. Drawing a deep 5' we ./found bottom numerous times despite advertised depths of 1.8 meters. We never humg up stuck fast, but did hit hard twice while in mid channel. Trav'ler has an encapsulated keel so there is very minor damage. Bring out the West Epoxy!
