Anyone From Pacific Northwest Thinking Of Circumnavigating???

Hi, we are a couple from Vancouver, BC. We took our son out of school in 2004 for a year and a half and sailed down the east coast from Rhode Island and spent two months in the Beautiful Bahamas!! Now that the kids are "GONE" We are planning on starting our circumnaviation either from the West Coast in Summer of 2008 or from Florida (where are boat is) at the end of next year 2007. Would like to talk with anyone who is thinking about the same thing!! Faith

Good for you Faith! I'm also a west coaster, and my boat is located just a little south and east of yours. I will be heading down the Caribbean with an eye towards Panama in the near future. After that who knows? The Pacific beckons.

That's more or less our plan. Except we're leaving from Victoria this September. Circumnavigating isn't our goal but I have a feeling we're heading that sort of direction.
