I've sailed around Vancouver Island and down the west coast of the US on a friends Baltic 42 DP—a few years older than the 43s. It was a rock-steady boat and way more comfortable than the Catalina 42 we were sailing with. The main sail was a beast but we handled the boat with just the two of us just fine. The only issue I can think of is the 8' keel, fine here in the PNW but...
He replaced all the rod rigging, and stripped the worn teak, but other than that I don't think he had any major issues to deal with. I got the aft cabin on one of the trips...what a dream!
