After reading your notes and looking around the internet a bit I think I'll get there two days early and get a good anchorage then use the rest of the time to play tourist and relax on the beaches. The tickets to the ICC Cricket finals are about the same cost as this concert; and there the torture lasts all day and you get a lunch break as well as tea-time.

Win - Win

Cricket + Parrotheads............party day & night.
I'm sure the TVs will be playing the Cricket matches on Anguilla if you can sneak away from the beach or during happy hours.

The beaches/snorkling will be worth the visit. The Doyle Cruising guide or web sites will help with rental car out of Road Bay to see the island.

And You will score points with the Crew.

Half my day today was spent getting cricket appreciation lessons so I'll be ready. And my crew finally got the "sailing for dummies" book in the mail today, so I'll have to bone up on nautical terminology so that I don't look like a complete idiot.
I checked the bookstores in town today for cruising guides with no luck, but I'll get the Leeward guide in the BVI.

Sounds like there will be no dull moments

Here's link to Doyle's site.......every now & then you can get other links or nuggets of info............the comments by readers/sailors get scrambled (my SXM from 2 yrs ago are under another name + '06 Guad/Dominica have disappeared) at times but may have up to date info vs guide

http://www.doyleguides.com/aa%20site%20navigator.htm

Buying Guides - yeah, sometimes hard to find off shelf. I either get at navigation store nearby, west marine, boat show or on-line.

Fair Winds............sure You don't want to switch places? I've got lovely rain with heavy cloud cover & cool winds.........much better than that bright sun, UV risks & sand in unspeakable places.
