You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Dave - I'll PM you the number. My crew is flying in the 16th. Are you running the ditch all the way?
Dawg - When you planning on going to Norfolk? Don't know how far North I'll go this year, but the Chessie is about halfway, and wouldn't mind hooking up for a meet while you're in the area.

PBz-
Don't know yet, but have to see when my in-laws are going to be around. Let me know what dates you'll be in the area, and I'll see if I can plan around that... since my schedule is pretty flexible. I'd be coming down from New England, so it'd be a bit of trip for me...

Don't have any set dates at this time, but I'm even more flexible than you, since I can be where ever I want to be, whenever I can get there. Plan at this point is to head across in 2 weeks to Florida, mess about a bit till the crew has to go back to AK, then start heading north by mid May. Figuring I should be parking at Cam's dockstep about mid June (I wanna watch him push the magic button). My plans though, are completely open. Nowhere I have to be, so I'll just be where I want to be.

We should try and have a rendevous of Sailnet users someplace.. that'd be interesting... There are quite a few blokes here I wouldn't mind meeting... but there are some I'd not bother with as well.

Hello all.
The new engine should be in by the end of next week, and I will be down in Ft pierce on the 26 of april to do the eng run in. We have hired a skipper to sail and teach us as we take our new to us peterson 44 North to NC. We will probably be leaving Ft Pierce on the 1st or 2nd of May and then going offshore all the way to NC ( weather permitting) The boats name is Golondrina but will be changed to Solonge IV. If you see us give a holler.

Sounds like a good plan. Fair winds to you for your trip. Don't leave on a Friday...
