The poster that said that the Bay can get rough is correct. 25' is a LOT of water in Saginaw Bay so anything from the norht builds pretty fast. That being said, your boat should certainly be up to it if you take care of her. You definetely want decent charts of the bay because of its shallows. They will also tell you where you can hide if you need to.

I sailed there a couple of years ago out of Caseville. We went half way to Tawas and back and I never saw a depth more than 15'. I was nervous, but the boats owner said "No Problem" and we were fine.
