Shallotte Inlet, NC?

Does anyone have recent info or experience on Shallotte Inlet, NC?
Is it marked for navigation, I would like to do a short trip outside from Little River, SC to Shallotte.

Unhappy Hard aground

I loged about eight hours there in 1997 hard aground. It was marked but could only be used by a row boat. Maybe its better now but I would check long before I made plans to use it.

Here is the latest chart. I just downloaded it from NOAA after reading the post on the freeware viewer; gave me an excuse to try something useful with it.

Thanks for the info, I exited the channel on Sunday. According to local info there is 5 feet at low tide. We transited an hour after low and found at least 6.5 feet as the lowest. It is most shallow at the mouth just before the ocean.
