VHF Coverage Charts

Just thought I would pass this along....VHF Coverage charts for all areas monitored by the CG...Might be handy for some - useless to others...

sailboy21 is on a distinguished road
Interesting the little pockets of no coverage in otherwise uniform circles. The result of shore side obstructions no doubt.. but sure looks like they extend well beyond line of site even for most towers. I've had comms with USCG as far as 40NM from shore, which has always impressed me. Thanks for the link.

One of the reasons I found it interesting as in Seattle... the pockets... I am glad the system exists and kinda wish that Raymarine and others would provide that additional info especially with all the DSC radios out... I have benefited from CG radio announcements... and the coverage ranges annotated from the source - greatly influences some decisions that would be made to cruise to some areas....

Thanks for the feedback and hope others take a gander as per other threads - seems it is a non-issue... until it actually pertains to their distress...
