Sailing Mass. to Iceland

Planning a voyage to Iceland from Boston in 2009... looking for all info I can get.

Hi Can't give you any info on the trip, but went to Iceland Aug 06, and can only say it is a facinating country. Good luck.

I understand mid-June to mid-July is the best time for weather, to judge from the pilots. What's your game plan once you get there? Overwinter, or proceed to Europe?

I ask because getting *back* to the U.S. from Iceland the way you came is a little problematic in hurricane season. Might be better to consider heading SSE to the Azores and then back to the Caribbean in the spring of the following year.
