Remembering Mazatlan, Mexico
The cruising community here in Mazatlan provides over 10% of the annual budget for the Salvation Army's Orphanage here. They do this through performances of Mexican folk dances. This group has also given performances in Canada, and are quite accomplished. The money received goes to medical, dental expenses, and schooling. This is part of a pro bono essay I did to add to the kids portfolios
When cruising in the Mazatlan area, check with the net for when the next performance is. Usually around Valentine's and then repeated a month or so later.
The other photo is of Old Mazatlan, some structures over 500 years old.
