Magellans??

We are seeking other owners of Magellans. It seems very hard to find other owners; Is this because there were very few made, or because they are all off cruising? Does anyone have any information about Magellans, or Magellan owners with whom we can make contact?

I have been using the Magellan 6000 chart plotter for several years. Check-out http://www.magellangps.com/en/
As far as a user group I have never looked.
Take Care Greg

Magellans??

I have two Magellans, one old Meridian and a newer one. I believe the profit margin was higher on Magellan or something, as the salesperson pushed it on me (duh). Both have screens that fog in direct sunlight. I shall go Garmin henceforth.

I have two Magellan handheld units...one old, one a map version. While I have not used Garmins, I''ve found the emphasis on small screen size a poor idea for all of these units. Light unit is good, small screen is bad. Magellans also seem to have too many keystrokes to set up routes...the variety of screen displays is good. Just my opinion.

Magellans??

Hi,
Check out the Gear & Maintenance message board for a thread on GPS. I posted a reply to this and that one, but this one never seemed to post! Anyway, I listed two websites there that might help everyone in reviewing products.
