This is my first time to try and post info for a pic so hope this works, at the above site is what is blocking the entrance to the gut in Quidi Vidi harbour.

Very cool how long before you could sail out?

The talk is that it can't be towed away from shore as it has grounded, so the coast guard may use the water cannon to blast it, only problem is the smaller parts may just block the complete entrance. The intersting thing is the government just had the entrance all blasted as well as the pasage to allow deep draft sail boats to come in, guess that is over as the ice berg has probably pushed in more rocks and ended that. And that is one ice berg not two, thats just its two peaks.

looks like it'll put a damper on your sailing, get a booty load of beer chill it! but im not sure which is worse, the rocks or the ice?

Why don't some of the local industrious sailors - drill a hole , install a mast - and rigs some sails and sail it out of the harbor!! Not only will you be the heroes of the iceberg blockade, but surely would be the coldest tall tale of how a real sailor is made!
