Anybody on the West coast of Florida like to daytrip offshore?

I am trying to find other sailors who live along the West Coast of Florida and like to go some distance offshore and back on the weekends ...either for fun or for cruise preparation or to fish or whatever reason. I am limiting my query to offshore of westcoast florida due to its particular summer weather characteristics....

Hi,

I just finished the basic 101 sailing class and need to gain some sailing experience. I'm not sure if your looking for an experienced sailor or a deck hand. I live near Tampa and my goal is to gain enough experience to go cruising next year. As you can see, I have alot to learn. I would leave you my contact info, but the site won't let me since I'm new here.

Hi ,

Thanks for replying to my post...i am currently fixing up a small 20 foot sailboat and am trying to find others that have sailed offshore more than a couple miles...like i plan to do...i thoiught there might be a few people who like to take some risks and go on offshore daytrips from time to time. Good luck with your sailing adventures..have you thought about checking the sites where people re looking for crew to accompany them..there are a few sites and people are always looking for crew members..take care for now..

I only found one site, can't remember the name, but it required a memebership fee and advertised primarily for longer multi-day trips. I wish I could do something like that but the job and family make it difficult. Good luck finding some crew and enjoy the lovely waters of Sarasota.
