Wayne,
Good info. In the many trips I have made down from the C&D canal to Cape May, I have found the best route is cross the channel and stay significantly east of it except for the stretch near "Cross Ledge" where you need to virtually be in the channel. Running this way avoids any worrys with the big ships which are hauling at full speed up or down the Delaware.

The bridge in the Canal is 55 ft.

Yes, that's good info on the charts. Use 12216 and 12304.
