Massachusetts Seasonal Ports: Looking for....

Hi.

I am looking for a port to call home for the upcoming 2009 summer season, specifically just north of or in, Boston, Massachusetts coastline. (I searched here for prior postings but didn't see any, so I apologize for I missed it.)

Any recommendations? Any ports to avoid, or cautions?

Ideally, I'd find a mooring (with dinghy dock) in and around Boston (accessible from Boston by Taxi/Bus if need be). I've looked at Shipyard Quarters, Constitution Marina, Boston Harbor Marina, Bos Waterboat Marina, Marina Bay on BosHarbor, and Admiral Hill (in Chelsea). I'm guessing there are neat little spots that I just can't find searching online, which is why I'm asking y'all. I have a 28' sloop.

I was in Salem, Mass last year and loved the marina! It makes me sad to think to go elsewhere, but our destinations this year may warrant it.

I am not aware of any locations in/around Boston Harbor that rent moorings...almost all waterfront space not used by marinas is controlled by yacht clubs that permit only their members to put out moorings. you want a Boston mooting, join a yacht club..not a bad deal actually. You could try Hewitts Cove in Hingham bay, not really Boston.
