In Jacksonville - and heading south...Marina suggestions ?

Hello - we are currently in Jacksonville on our sailing vessel "Lucky Escape" and planning to head south, towards the Keys. One of our next ports will be St Augustine and we were checking out a number of marinas in the area online. Do any sailors out there have any favourite suggestions - for marinas in St Augustine ? Not looking for anything too fancy but a good, sheltered place to park ourselves for a few days, with close amenities.

Just as soon as you pass through the bridge. All of downtown is within a few blocks.Sorry I don't know the name of the marina. When you get to Daytona Halifax just south of the Main St. bridge with a Worst Marine right next door.....i2f

Luckyescape, We are also in Jax, but soon to be northbound, but we have taken many cruises south. The marina referred to above in St. Augustine is the municipal marina and excellent for a few days; although, for less cost you may wish to contact Oyster Creek Marina up the San Sebastian River. As you continue south a few of our favorites are: New Smyrna City Marina; Titusville Municipal Marina; Vero Beach Municipal (BEST); Cooley's Landing in Ft. Lauderdale (part of the city's marina system, but way less cost than on the ICW). 'take care and joy, Aythya crew
