Florida West Coast Cruising
We are presently waiting for a weather window to cross from Shell Point, Florida to Dunedin, Florida. I figure it is about 125 Nautical Miles. Looks like tomorrow is the day. We are sailing a Catalina 309 2008. We are 2.5 in number. The .5 is Tiny Tim an 8lb Pomeranian. He is real a great sailor. Takes listing in stride and does not let it interfere with dinner. We are towing our 8' dink and it is carrying it's dry dock with it. We covered the dink and it's cargo with a tarp hoping to keep water out. The high tide is at 1100 Friday and we hope to be underway as soon as the tide allows.
It has been storming for the last week and right now we are under a tornado threat. Wow I hope it calms by morning some.
