Charting..

I have used Garmin Bluecharts on my PC. I like to build routes on the PC and downloaded them to an Etrex Garmin handheld. This all has worked well from my style.

Garmin seems to be eliminating Bluecharts on a CD and going with the SD cards.

What is the best software for a PC to display charts, Marina's etc., build routes, and then down load them to a garmin(With charts)

Any ideas?

Paul

The Garmin software will still be able to do that AFAIK.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

PC Charting with Garmin

What software? I talked to Garmin and they said there is currently no Garmin PC Software that provides the ability to do routes on a PC with Charts on their SD cards. You can do it on your chart plotter, yes. But I like small hand helds and that is a pain.
