Sailing/Motoring Ratio- FL West Coast & ICW

I am planning a trip that will cover the Florida West Coast and entire ICW. The boat is a 16 with a removable keel.

Any thoughts on what I can expect in terms of percentage of how much motoring I will be doing versus sailing? I am putting together some expense projections, fuel being a major component of that.

We get some duldrums, but also get our fair share of wind too. I could not give you a percentage as our numbers may be different from yours. But I suspect you will get along fine sailing most of the way (not in teh ICW). In the ICW, you really should run your engine. But if it is a 16 footer... certainly you will not be burning much fuel?
