Effect of the effect of the BP oil spill on Gulf Coast marine industry

Hypothetically speaking, if you were out cruising earlier this year, would the oil spill have had any impact on your cruising plans?

Say you were planning to get some work done during the cruise and Tampa/St Pete were one of your options because of the boatyards. Would the oil spill have caused you to choose another location or would it have had no impact on your decision?

Or say the Gulf Coast is on your list of cruising destinations. Would the spill have caused you to postpone that trip in lieu of a different destination? Or would it have made no difference.

Or say you lived somewhere on the Gulf coast during the spill. Would you have postponed cruising until everything was settled? Would you have gone anyway and just gotten out of the Gulf as quickly as possible?
Would you have limited your cruising to your local area to avoid any problems?
