Hoodies (Sweatshirts)

Hi...

Does anyone have recommendations on a GREAT hoodie? My requirements are that it be non-absorbing (for obvious reasons), bunch at the wrists, waist, neck AND head (separately) using cord.

I would really like to find material that is 100% polyester like under armour but they don't seem to make one like that.

Thanks!

these guys make exceptional gear... good deals in the 'clearance' section:

Gill North America: Gill Race Waterproof Smock RC002

these guys are solid too...

Men's*by Patagonia

Patagonia Slopestyle Hoody | evo outlet

looks like that last link is 100% poly

I've got a zippered Patagonia synthetic that's great at shedding wind and water. I second the recommendation to check their line to see if they make something that suits your needs.

A lot of people now make fleece hoodies, many of which would work for you.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Thanks for the responses! I have several fleece hoodies but they still get a bit damp.

I will look at the patagonia.

Columbia also makes some gear that might work.

Take a look at Campmor Camping Gear & Outdoor Gear - Outerwear & Outdoor Clothing from Campmor.com. While it is not a dedicated sailing outfitter, they do have good prices on great gear which matches up to some of the best sailing outfitters.

A few more places to look for clothing, not marine specific, but useful on a boat, are:

REI.com—their in-house brand has some good stuff
sierratradingpost.com—heavily discounted, but often only in select colors/styles/sizes
moosejaw.com—much like Sierra Trading Post...

I would get something zippered, rather than pull over. Just in case you end up in the water and need to get it off.
