hi,
i''ll be doing the same trip: could you recommend a place (orseveral) on the south shore of LI (say mid-way down LI) to moor enroute?

Yousaf...there are NO really safe inlets for a sailboat on the south shore of long island.You either need to go offshore all the way round montauk or go up the east river and into the sound where you have many stops to choose from.
