Can anyone tell me about Mattituck ? We plan on sailing there Labor Day weekend. Is there anything I need to know about getting in and out of the river or Matt-A-Mar Marina ? Depth or obstactiles, etc ? Anything to do in Mattituck ? I would appreciate any feedback or experiences.

We stayed there on our way from NYC to Newport. Very pleasant marina at the end of a long, winding canal if memory serves. Good italian restuarant on premesis. No issues with depth; just stay in the channel. We just went to the restaurant and went to sleep so I cant comment on other things to do there.
