Gasolene on board ?

Hi,
we would like to carry a small gas genny on board (Mini Portable honda type)..

Whats the ''word'' :-) on storing genny, gas containers etc on a live aboard cruiser ??.. what about long passages and storage ?

Is a gas tank worthwhile ?

or, and other advice or guidance for a safe, trouble free voyage..

Joe / Jayne

Alot of people live aboard with gas. I did afew years back. I don''t see a problem if you take a few precautions. 1. The Big ONE ventalate the area!!!! 2. Almost as big and still a MUST make sure is is lashed in good a tight. 3. Again anyother must keep it in a can designed for the job. No mike jugs. If you do thise this you shouldn''t have any problems. There are alot of boat powered by gas motors and few of them have problem because these steps have been taken into account.
