Atlantic City to Norfolk Friday night to Sunday night
Anchored in Atlantic City waiting for the storms to pass tomorrow. hoping to catch a window on friday night or saturday and ride it all the way to norfolk before the next cold front and that tropical depression catch up with us.
anyone got any useful thoughts on the matter? Anyone in Atlantic city and want to run with us?
PassageWeather is great. we use it all the time. The window I mentioned is getting to be less and less of a window at all. Now it's looking more like SW winds than W. That's on the nose. The best west would be overnight Saturday through Sunday, and they'll be strong and may even tend to the SW too. Not a fun run, that's for sure.
So maybe we'll wait for all these fronts to leave and the next nice high to come in about a week or so. Or maybe we will eek our way down to Cape May and wait there. For now we are sitting here in Brigantine, jut across the Absecon inlet from Atlantic City.
A bit longer but with these conditions you could go up to the C&D canal and then head south. We did it on O8 and it is a nice and very easy route
