Advice For Purchasing Mooring Blocks...

So my boyfriend and I have been considering buying a mooring block this winter around Comox in Vancouver Island if we are unable to find a marina for liveaboards or a private mooring. I have no idea where to begin as I am new to this, any advice? I have a Roberts 29 with a Draft of 5'8, LOA is 29'8, a 10 foot beam and a weight of 9 600 Ibs.
