Merry Christmas everyone. Even though, at 80 degrees plus it doesn't feel much like Christmas to this native Vermonter. Honolulu is a great place to spend the winter!

Here I sit in Vermont thinking about growing up in Kailua. Opening presents then a walk down to the beach for a swim. Now I have a hot date with a wood splitter
I followed your trip down the coast on your blog. Looks like you found a nice spot to "settle in". My daughter lives in Honolulu, visited once, way too hot & humid for us. It is now 20 degrees on the porch in Truckee, CA, waiting for the over due snow at 6,700 feet.
We spent Christmas last year in San Francisco, the year before in Seattle. 2008 we were in Friday Harbor and in '07 in Port Townsend, hauled out in the Boat Haven. White Christmases are all well and good but it is nice to wake up to rainbows and outrigger canoes practicing for regatta season in the morning. Out on the deck in bare feet at 7AM.

Going to party with my fellow captains at the marina on Christmas Day. I'll prepare a spread of food for X-Mas Dinner on Saturday at my apartment and pick up a good bottle of rum and hot buttered rum mix.
Hoping we can sail a bit.
