I''ve enjoyed reading all their books, but one thing I''ve never understood. When someone asked them in one of their books, "did you really sail all the way from Victoria in that?", they said "yes!". But it seems they actually started from southern California, no? That''s where I remember they built the boat.

Larry built their first boat in S cal, then sailed to Mexico and on "Cruising in Seraffyn". Then on in Seraffyn''s European Addventure. They now sail Talesin, 29.6" 27.6 LWL. I plan on seeing this little boat this weekend. I believe larry built Talesin as well. As to sailing from Victoria he was probably mentioning a perticular trip. They have sailed both directions around the world with no motors. Larri is from Victoria, Canada & Lin Detroit, USA both are also New Zelanders now being their home base.

Its my understanding that the first boat, Seraffyn was boat in B.C. - Talesin, the 2nd larger boat was built in CA.
