Catalina 42

My wife and I are considering a Catalina 42 for cruising the east coast to Fla. keys and a possible jump over to the Bahamas. can we ask your opinions on this boat as a live aboard and on it''s sailing performance. she is a 1992 2 cabin wing keel version.

I would ask on the catalina email list. There are more than a few people on there that have done it, I know someone that even lived on the boat down there with his wife.

Did you join the "C42-list" or did you join the "Catalina-List" I know the C42-List has practically no-one on it, they are all on the "Catalina-List".

specifically "shout out" to a Chris Gregory. He has done it before

We have a Catalina 42 MKII 2 cabin and find it has everything that we need in accomodations for cruising. For a production boat that is moderately priced you get alot for your money.
