Prescsriptions in the Bahamas?

Can you get prescription drugs in the Bahamas in general, and the Exumas in particular? We are making our first trip soon, for about 4 months, and would appreciate any info. Thanks.

You can get NEW prescriptions (not repeats) filled in Nassau, but there are NO drug stores in the Exumas.

Thanks for this information. Is it possible to buy over the counter prescription medicines in the Bahamas, such as in Mexico?
