I don't see much wrong with it as an in-harbour berth, but it would be useless on passage. Head down on one tack and head up one the other, neither of which make for a decent kip. For an illustrated article on the differences between a good sea-going interior layout and a not so good one, take a look at Some Sailboat Interiors Are Fundamentally Unsuitable for Offshore Sailing
