Free Anchorages in California
 

Gudday and Ahoy! I started putting this online, interactive list of free anchorages together when I was planning my trip from San Francisco to San Diego and thought some of you might find it interesting / useful. It lists the anchorages, some details about the conditions there and links to the NOAA charts that can be viewed online. If you have any suggestions or ideas that could make this a better voyage planning tool then don't hesitate to let me know what they are. And if I missed any anchorages, please tell me what they are. The Channel Islands are free, not really any facilities there but anchorages on both sides of the islands weather permitting.

you can also try squidd.io, which is a crowd-sourced database of sailing destinations. Not sure if they have any information for the area, but if they don't you can always add it yourself, once you are done with the cruise, for the benefit of others. Good luck

Thanks for the suggestion. I've been an active squidoo blogger for a few years but drifted away because of all the technical issues with the site. (It's part of what made me create my own blogsite, plus bloggers make more money with me). Are you a squidooer too?
