Cruising route to Micronesia

Hello,

I am a novice sailor considering an eventual cruise to the Pacific. I have heard of the so-called "Milk Run" to the Marquesas, but I am curious if there is a commonly used route to Micronesia. Also, does anyone know of any resources for learning more about Pacific tradewind routes in general?

Jimmy Cornell’s “World Cruising Routes” is a good reference book, and the “Pilot Charts” for the South Pacific will provide the noted details (Average wind speeds & directions, on a monthly basis).
