Does Globalstar have worldwide coverage? And how much does it cost?

About Globestar phones. Tried it for 6 months in the Carib and tossed it in the water. Bad reception most everywhere. They claim to have a system that works in the carib but there are so many holes it''s hard to use. I now have immarsat c and have no problems.

There is an excellent Globalstar review in the current issue of Practical Sailor.

Bottom line seemed to be good for voice (with 10-minute dropouts) and spotty - if any at times - data capability. Apparently not a viable solution yet for email.
