Medical Insurance Required to Visit French Polynesia?

Hi,

I've read a few articles the state medical insurance, including evacuation and repatriation cover is compulsory to enter French Polynesia. Can anyone confirm this?

I will be departing Vancouver Island for The Marquesas next week.

Thanks for the help

Brendan

Re: Medical Insurance Required to Visit French Polynesia?

We were not asked for insurance when we were there in 2011. Rules do change though. They probably are mostly interested about evacuation insurance.
