Very cool. Did you have ropes to rappel back down to the dinghy or how did you get down?

We could hand our sacks up and down past the overhang, and we used a squeeze in a crack to reach the next level. No ropes but it does require a moderate skill level as it's quite easy to become totally debilitated many miles from help. That clip is part of a much longer DVD that we made during our circumnavigation of Australia. I watched it again to refresh what exact scenes were in it. Pretty exciting place, but got to be on alert.

I've always found the going up easier than the going down. Mind you my climbing is best described as scrambling; I leave the tough stuff to my daughter and son-in-law.

I'm a scrambler too, what's not on that tape, but in the book is me crashing down a hillside of nasty rocks, the camera tucked under an arm.

Great video, thanks for sharing, it's been nearly 20 years since we cruised the kimberley and the video brings back memories. Great info on the rock art.
