Hi Eherlihy,
I'm glad you liked the vid. I'm just in awe of how far Renee and Lynette have sailed in such a small boat as Tekaihau. Bubbly is a mansion in comparison. I hope to visit Renee and Lynette in New Zealand when we sail our boat Paragon there.
I thought about editing out the airplanes and their background sounds, but I wanted to show what it's really like there as much as I could.
After we got back from Saint Martin I bought a new camera with a shotgun microphone that plugs into it. The mic has a wind screen that wraps around it. I think it going to greatly improve the audio recordings in our upcoming videos. I first used it in a series where Monique and I are crewing aboard an elegant Mooris Yachts 47 in the Leukemia Cup Regatta in Oriental, NC. There was a lot of wind, but it sounds much better.
