mooring in Stone harbor NJ or nearby

Hello,
I haven't even consulted charts yet to know if the inlet can handle my draft (4.5') but I was wondering if there are any moorings in Stone Harbor NJ where I could stash my 35' freedom for a few days while I visit a friend at his beach house. I won't be needing access to my boat and I don't want to pay big bucks for a slip.

Thanks,
Rick

You could always just anchor out... if he really has a beach house, and it is on the beach, why not anchor off the beach in front of his house. It'd be free... and you'd have convenient access to the boat.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

I would certainly hate to lose the boat to the ocean and unfortunately his house is not a proper beach house, it is two or three blocks back.

Thanks,
Rick

Ahh... That is a problem... If it were a proper beach house, you'd be all set.

might be worth giving the local marina a call.
