Aria reaches Florida
Just a quick note to say we are now in Pensacola, Florida. After two days and nights in the Gulf, and not making much easward progress, we headed up to the Ditch at the Calcesieu River, coming back into the Gulf at Lake Borgne, LA for another overnighter and up to Pensacola. I'll post a more detailed account in my blog here as soon as I get a chance to write it up.

PS If you think you might come in the Pass at Destin You really need to call me. If you come in here or go back out and follow the bouys you will run aground in the middle of the channel or hit bottom on the bar.

I'd never heard of a bird flying into the cabin and spending the night before, but here's a picture of him, dilligently watching the Barometer before he flew out, and then returned to perch on the wicker basket (bottom right) for the night.
